Deal Pier
Deal Pier, located in Kent, UK (CT14 6HZ), is the last fully intact leisure pier in the county, officially opened in 1957. This 1,026ft concrete structure is a major angling venue and offers a popular, brutalist-style walkway with 360-degree views, a glass-walled café/restaurant at the end, and benches for visitors.

Pier Information
This is a great place to go if you are looking for more of a social fishing experience.
Fishing is not permitted by any of the yellow railings but there is plenty of space to fish along the board walk, although it can get busy on weekends and sunny days.
There is a bottom deck at the end of the Pier you can fish from with a cabin that is open to members, Message “Shane Bradford” on Facebook (Here).
Lots of rays, Congers and Strap Eels have been caught from the bottom deck.
Expect a few Dogfish and other small species.

Local Bait & Tackle Shops
It is highly recommended that you call the day before to check worm & bait stock.
Don’t forget to reserve your bait to avoid arriving on the day and everything being already reserved or sold out.
If you reserve any bait you MUST collect it, Tackle shops do not make much money and it is unfair to make them lose out on a sale.

Local Food & Shops
Deal is renowned for its food scene, there are so many delicious places to choose from but below are some of my personal recommendations.
Deal Pier Kitchen – Located at the end of the pier this restaurant offers more of a “upper class menu with upper class pricing”. There is also a coffee hut located to the right of the building on the outside.
Hog & Bean – The Hog & Bean is located on Victoria Road, 5 minutes walk from the Pier. Great for breakfast, Reasonable pricing for the quality of food.
Peckish – Located just a few minutes walk from the Pier on King Street. Peckish serves Rotisserie Chicken, the best I’ve ever had infact. Full roasts or wraps, you decide.
Sainsbury’s – Best place to get your food and drink if wanting to save money, 5 minute drive from the pier, next to Deal train station.
